Elsie Marie Peterson, age 92, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023. She was born in Skatved, Denmark on December 14, 1930 to Carl & Paula (Jensen) Jakobsen and came to the United States in 1950. Elsie married Elmer Peterson on July 13, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 2014. Elsie had worked as a finisher at Howmet Corp. for over 30 years until retiring. She was a former member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church and enjoyed knitting, crochet and doing word search puzzels. Elsie also liked visiting the casino and doing her scratch off tickets. But first and foremost she loved her family.

Children, Rick (Lorraine) Peterson of TX, Don (Carol) Peterson of North Carolina, Mary (Mike) Coyne of North Muskegon, Jim Peterson of Muskegon, Ruth (Bert) Jackson of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jenny MacKenzie of ND, Aase (Bob) Gowin of FL, Anna Haverland of ND. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Carl Jakobsen and Paula Jakobsen , siblings Jorgen, Greta & Thyra.
