NEWELL, MRS ELSIE MIRIAM Spring Lake Mrs. Elsie M. Newell, 90, of Spring Lake, MI, died Friday, April 29, 2005. She was born in Springfield, MA, on August 18, 1914 to Alfred and Anna Wirta Clemens and married Lawrence Clark in 1940, he preceded her in death in 1942. In 1946 she married R.J. Newell in Muskegon, he also preceded her in death in 1967. Mrs. Newell was secretary to the superintendent of the Fruitport Schools and she was also a member of Coopersville Bible Church, active in the adies Fellowship. SURVIVORS 3 sons, Thomas Ginger Newell of Pelion, SC, Rick Christi Newell of St. George, UT and Roger Pat Newell of Valrico, FL; 2 daughters, Marianna Richard Jr. Nelson of Muskegon, MI and Kendra Dobb of Muskegon, MI; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Edna Parker of Dunedin, FL; brother, Alfred Ann Clemens of Springfield, MO. SERVICE 11 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at Fruitport Congregational Church UCC with the Pastors Tim McGarvy, Don Chrysler and Don Wood officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Monday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home, Fruitport. MEMORIALS: Life Care at Mercy General Hospital or the Coopersville Bible Church.
