BYARD, MRS. ELSIE MAY Muskegon, MI Mrs. Elsie May Byard, age 94, died Friday, November 8, 2002. She was born on March 13, 1908 in Gladstone, MI to Walter & Eva Pettis Jones & married William Henry Byard, Sr. on June 22, 1927. Mrs. Byard was self employed in the janitorial field, was a very active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Muskegon, a member of the Dorcas Society of the Church, started a Branch Sabbath School at Hiawatha, MI, & liked dogs, cats & all animals. SURVIVORS Son, William F. Byard, Jr. of Twin Lake, MI; 4 granddaughters, Bobbette Byard, Kathleen Mitcham, Cynthia David Dill, Joy Ben Davis; 7 great- grandchildren; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1969; son, Cletes in 1944; granddaughter, Donna Kuster in 1997 & by 4 brothers & 5 sisters. SERVICE Tuesday, November 12, 2002, 11:00 AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Muskegon with Elder Ryan Counsell officiating. Interment at Lake Forest Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 7-9 PM and Monday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Seventh Day Adventist Church Worthy Student Fund, 3040 Evanston Ave. Muskegon, MI 49441.
