Elna C. Carr

CARR, MRS. ELNA C. Muskegon Mrs. Elna C. Carr, age 93, died Monday, September 20, 2004. Mrs. Carr was born on December 20, 1910 in Muskegon to Rev. Axel C. and Ellen Hansen Kildegaard. She attended Grandview College in Des Moines, IA and received her B.S. degree from Central Michigan University. Elna married Paul E. Carr on June 30, 1944 in Muskegon. Mrs. Carr was a school teacher for Muskegon Public Schools for over 40 years, retiring in 1970 and had been a member of the Retired Teacher's Association and the AAUW. She had been a life-long member of Central Lutheran Church, Muskegon, where she had been an organist, taught Sunday School, a member of the Danish Sisterhood and the Ruth Circle. SURVIVORS 3 daughters; Ingrid "Inki" Taylor of Caledonia; Paula Roger Hoffman of Norton Shores; Myrna Corpe of North Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 1 brother, Richard Leslie Kildegaard of MN. She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1973; 2 brothers; Theodore, Rev. Axel; a sister, Ingrid. SERVICE Wednesday, September 22, 2004, 1:30 PM at the Clock Chapel with Pastor John Jack officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 12 Noon until 1:30 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
