Elmer "Pete" Peterson

PETERSON, MR. ELMER JUNIOR "PETE" Muskegon Mr. Elmer J. "Pete" Peterson, age 85, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014. He was born in Muskegon, MI on June 3, 1929 to Elmer & Ann (VanLoo) Peterson and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Juneau. Pete married the former Elsie Jakobsen on July 13, 1952. Mr. Peterson had been a truck driver for years until retiring. SURVIVORS Wife of 62 years, Elsie; children, Rick (Lorraine) Peterson of TX, Don (Carol) Peterson of NC, Mary (Mike) Coyne of N. Muskegon, Jim (Mary) Peterson of Muskegon, Ruth (Bert) Jackson of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. SERVICE Thursday, July 17, 2014, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Ben Jansen officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery.
