Ella M. Leigh

Mrs. Ella M. Leigh, age 99, passed away November 5, 2007 at McAuley Place where she had resided for the past three years and received kind and loving care. She was born in Newburgh, New York on January 5, 1908 and moved to Muskegon as a child. Ella was the fourth of sixth children born to Anton and Mary (Rezek) Jordan. She married Philip C. Leigh on February 4, 1928 and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1987. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Ella enjoyed gardening and painting and was an avid reader. She is survived by four daughters, Phyllis L. Clarke and Carole E. (Bob Nyquist) Babcock both of Muskegon, Eunice M. (David) Williams of Holland, MI and Geraldine L. (Michael) Trebilcock of Flagler Beach, FL; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Thursday 11:00 A.M., November 8,2007 at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 231-798-1100 Rev. Dr. Randall R. Hansen will be officiating. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home beginning one hour prior to the service. INTERMENT: Mona View Cemetery.
