Elizabeth Watts

Mrs. Elizabeth H. Watts, formerly of Portage, age 86, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010. She was born in Cranford, NJ on December 22, 1923. She received her undergraduate degree from Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA and later received her Master's Degree in Library Science from Western Michigan University. Betsy was a charter member of the Portage Library and Head Librarian at the Oshtemo Branch of the Kalamazoo Library until retiring. She was a long time member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. All who knew her will remember her as an avid bird watcher, dedicated reader and charter member of the Portage Grow and Show Garden Club. She was a loving wife and mother whose affection and inspiration will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Husband of 65 years, Bruce; daughters, Pam (Dennis) Kraai of Grand Haven, Susan E Ryerson of Ann Arbor; son, Ronald B. (Ann) Watts of Birmingham, MI; grandchildren, Amy Hopp, Valerie Thompson, Dale "D.J." Kraai, Annie Heldt, Kathryn & Graham Watts, Alyssa, Libby, Cassie Ryerson; 7 great grandchildren.
