Mrs. Elizabeth R. Fodrocy, age 87, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. She was born August 30, 1920 in Ahmeek, MI to John and Lucille (Rom) Frankovich and had lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. On June 12, 1948, she married Charles R. Fodrocy in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1992. She was a communicant member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church where she was active in the Ladies Circle and the Senior Citizens Bingo Group. She enjoyed flowers and watching birds. SURVIVORS include her son, Denis (Patricia) Fodrocy of Muskegon, and their children, Scott Fodrocy, Lauren (Sean) Pethers and Daniel (fiancee Jessica Swartz) Fodrocy; her son, Gregory (Susan) Fodrocy of Grand Haven, and their children, John Fodrocy, Jane Fodrocy, Stas Fodrocy, Katie Fodrocy, and Charles Fodrocy; her daughter, Mary Beth (Herbert) Kops of Jackson, and their children, Kristin Kops and Mitchell Kops; and 2 great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Fodrocy and Ely Pethers. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, John and Albert Frankovich; and 2 sisters, Katherine Roach and Mary Frankovich. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas G. Simons presiding. INTERMENT will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be 4-8 PM Monday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Monday evening. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the Muskegon County Catholic Education Foundation or American Cancer Society.
