Mrs. Elizabeth Marie Crimmins, age 84, passed away, Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Grand Rapids. She was born to Mary E. and Frank A. Grottendeck on June 16th, 1923 in Boston, MA, and she graduated from Roslindale High School in Roslindale, MA. She worked at First Shawmut National Bank in Boston, MA. On April 27, 1946, she was married to the love of her life, her World War II hero, William M. Crimmins. She enjoyed her life raising her family in Norwalk CT, Muskegon, MI, and Vernon Hills, IL. Being blessed with and raising nine children she returned to the business world in various accounting positions in the Chicago suburbs. Upon retirement, she and her husband returned to Muskegon, MI. She loved her husband, children, sons- and daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed her various hobbies such as bridge, ceramics, gardening, piano, and travel. She was active in the Hackley Women's Circle, St. Francis de Sales Church, and St. Francis Choir. She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-two years, William; her nine children: Maureen (Bob) Farag of Gary, IN, Joanne Crimmins of New Lenox, IL, Elizabeth (Michael) Cunningham of Traverse City, MI, Claire (Duane) Panozzo of Grand Haven, MI, Susan (Tom) Roush of Dimondale MI, Michael (Kelly) Crimmins of Manhattan, IL, Regina (Greg) Gardiner of Panama City Beach, FL, Mary (John) Starks of Norton Shores, MI, Bill (Linda) Crimmins of New Lenox, IL; twenty-eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She will be missed greatly. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00AM, Monday, March 10, 2008 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Sunday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 A Rosary service will be held at 7:30PM Sunday evening. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Montfort Missionary Association 26 South Saxon Ave, Bay Shore, New York 11706-8993.
