Eleanor B. Mclaughlin

MCLAUGHLIN, MRS. ELEANOR B. Norton Shores Mrs. Eleanor B. McLaughlin, age 90, died Thursday, July 21, 2005. She was born in Detroit, MI on January 15, 1915 to James W. & Elizabeth Eckermann McLeod and married Glenn A. McLaughlin on September 17, 1938. Mrs. McLaughlin had graduated from Muskegon Heights High School & Western Michigan University and taught school in Ionia, MI and Muskegon. She was a member of First Congregational Church in Muskegon, the Muskegon Service League, the Muskegon Country Club, the Muskegon Womens Club, & Mary Free Bed. Mrs. McLaughlin loved her family, gardening, playing golf, playing bridge, traveling, and volunteer work. She volunteered at Hackley Hospital Cherry Guild, the surgical reception, & gift shop. SURVIVORS Son, Jim Linda McLaughlin of Carmel, IN; 2 daughters, Jean Bob Schouman of Grand Haven, Kay John Fee of Armada, MI; 5 grandchildren, Jamie Mike Degler, Paul fiance', Lisa Treble McLaughlin, Cindy John Botbyl, Sara Dave Caplin, Jim Fee; 4 great grandchildren, Nathan Degler, Ian and Ali Botbyl, Jacob Caplin; 2 step-grandchildren, Bill Melissa Schouman, Chas Amy Schouman; 4 step great grandchildren, Stephanie, Laura, Austin & Hayden Schouman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn on August 31, 1977, and by son-in-law, Jack Percassi. MEMORIAL VISITATION Monday, July 25, 2005, 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon.
