Eleanor Bird

Mrs. Eleanor Lorene Bird, age 93, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Poppen House. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on June 5, 1922 to Ed & Ruby (West) Smith and married Lewis Bird on August 12, 1950. Mrs. Bird had been employed as a Billing Clerk for Alfred J. Hunter for 40 plus years until retiring in 1987. Eleanor was a member of Central United Methodist Church and will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Husband, Lewis; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. SERVICE Wednesday, August 5, 2015, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Zawdie Abiade officiating. Interment in Fruitport Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Alzheimer's Association.
