Elaine Halgren

Mrs. Elaine Esther Halgren, age 91, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 10, 2017. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 12, 1925 to Edwin & Esther (Gustafson) Engstrom and married Russell Halgren on November 9, 1946. Mrs. Halgren had been employed at various companies as an Executive Secretary for over 20 years until retirement. Elaine was a member of Dalton Baptist Church, loved playing the organ with over 60 years experience, volunteered at Hackley Hospital as a courier, loved traveling, sewing and entertaining guests. SURVIVORS Sons, Douglas (Suzanne) Halgren, Gregory (Nancy) Halgren; daughter, Sheryl (Gary) Steiner; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Harold) Brodrick; brother, Daniel (Linda) Engstrom. She was preceded in death by husband, Russell; brothers, Morris & Gerald Engstrom; sister, Eunice. SERVICE Thursday, March 16, 2017, 1:00 pm with visitation 2 hours prior at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with officiating. Interment in East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Gideons International.
