Eileen Bolger

Eileen Hillary Bolger, wife of Jim Bolger, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, March 2, 2007. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on July 18, 1949 to Alphonsus and Ethel (Neis) Hillary. Prior to retiring to Whitehall, Eileen served as a secretary for Charlotte High School in Charlotte, MI. For the past 8 years she volunteered at St. James Catholic School in Montague, MI. Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, her library work and adopt-a-reader programs at St. James Catholic School, birds and her garden. She shared her love and humor with family and brought her joy to her work and volunteer efforts. Eileen is survived by her father, Alphonsus Hillary of Grand Rapids; husband, Jim Bolger of Whitehall; son and daughter-in-law, Jase and Molly, grandchildren, Nick and Megan Bolger of Marshall; son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Treasa, grandchildren, Katie and Rachel Bolger of DeWitt; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Melissa, grandchildren Emily and Ethan of Olivet; sister, Kay and William Markham of Manistee; brother, Bernie and Pat Hillary of Coopersville; brother, Ron and Rosie Hillary of Grand Rapids; brother, Ted and Kathy Hillary of Grand Rapids; sister, Judy and Tom Wilt of Louisville, KY; brother Ken and Meg Hillary of Eden Prairie, MN; brother, Ray and Saori Hillary of Tampa, FL; brother-in-law, Bill and Mary Bolger of Boyne City; sister-in-law, Jeannie Jones of Fort Worth, TX; sister-in-law, Pati and Ed Schaefer of Tower Lakes, IL; brother-in-law, Tom and Mary Kay Bolger of Tower Lakes, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her mother Ethel (Neis) Hillary; father-in-law, Bill Bolger; mother-in-law Jeannette Bolger; sister Noreen (Hillary) Earhart; brothers-in-law Bob Earhart and Sonny Jones; and nephew Danny Jones. Eileen's family will welcome visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 7, 2007 and again at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday March 8, 2007 at St. James Catholic Church, 5179 Dowling Street, Montague, MI 49437. Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday March 8, 2007, at 11:00 am also at St. James Catholic Church.
