Edwin E. Witte

WITTE, MR. EDWIN E. Fruitport Mr. Edwin E. Witte, age 87, died Sunday, September 30, 2001. He was born in Bald Bluff, IL on June 2, 1914 to Julius & Gertrude Kahrau Witte & married the former Virginia Ross in 1942. Mr. Witte served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had been a self-employed television technician & also worked at Teledyne Continental Motors Corp. prior to retiring. He was a member of Edgewood Lutheran Church, the Fruitport Eagles, VFW Post #3195 & was an avid hunter, bowler & golfer. SURVIVORS Daughter-in-law, Dorothy Witte of Fruitport; 3 grandchildren, Dicksie Hill of Muskegon, Geraldine Jerry Thoma of Fruitport & Robert Shirley Witte of Muskegon; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary Kronldin of Muskegon, Emily Hammond, Gert Dolinsek of Muskegon & a brother, Robert Pat Witte of Owosso, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia in 1979; a son, Edwin A. Witte; a daughter, Geraldine Witte; a grandson, David Witte & by 8 brothers & sisters. MEMORIAL SERVICE Wednesday, October 3, 2001, 12:30 PM at Edgewood Lutheran Church with Rev. Jamey A. Nelson officiating. A Veteran's service will be held under the auspices of the VFW Post #3195.
