Edwin J. Sillman

SILLMAN, MR. EDWIN J. Grand Haven Mr. Edwin J. Sillman, age 77, died Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Mercy General Hospital. He was born in Grand Haven, on June 1, 1927 to Ernest A. Sillman & Agnes Pellegrom and married the former Elsie VanderMolen on September 26, 1953 in Spring Lake. For 35 years Mr. Sillman had been a wholesale milkman at Klempels Dairy in Grand Haven, Highland Park Dairy in Muskegon and both FarrView and McDonald Dairies in Fruitport.He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and VFW Post 2326, he also enjoyed his bowling league. SURVIVORS Wife of 52 years, Elsie; daughter, Holly Lynn John Martin of Berkley, MI; son, Kurt E. Courtney Sillman of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Dave Bartell and Amy and Carly Martin, Kacey and Conner Sillman; special friends, Aart & Mary Ann DeHeer, Howard & Elizabeth Bennink and David and Marilyn Glueck all of Grand Haven; brother in law, Roger Bonnie VanderMolen and family; several nephews. Mr. Sillman was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Erna Batka. SERVICE A private service will be held. Interment at Historic Cemetery. MEMORIAL: St. John's Lutheran Church general fund.
