Edward John Kroll

Edward John Kroll KROLL, MR. EDWARD JOHN Muskegon Mr. Edward John Kroll, age 90, passed away January 29, 2006 at Village at the Oaks Retirement Community. He was born August 25, 1915 in Muskegon Heights, MI to the late Anthony and Sophia (Kraska) Krol. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel English Kroll; son, Edward Kroll, Jr.; and daughter, Patricia Coats. Surviving are his wife, Julia Mortenson Kroll; daughter, Pearl Sonia Oldham; grandchildren, Rebecca Bach Larson; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Larson. Edward was forever a representative of the Polish community of Muskegon. He lived and worked in the city until his retirement from Kaydon Industries. During World War II, he served with the United States Army in the European Campaign. A life-long and faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church, Edward was early on an Altar Boy and, later, a member of St. Francis de Sales. He belonged to the Eagles and to the VFW. After retirement, Edward lived in Florida until 2004 when health concerns brought him back to Muskegon. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.
