Mr. Edward F.Clark, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2011, surrounded by his family and many friends. Mr. Clark was born in Detroit on September 15, 1917, to Neil & Marie (DeWispelere) Clark. He married the love of his life, Doris Oader on October 24, 1940. Mr. Clark was a decorated United States Army Air Corp pilot serving with the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers in the China-Burma Theater. Mr. Clark worked as a mechanical engineer in Detroit and retired from the TRW Corporation in 1971. He spent his retirement years enjoying his family, friends and many hobbies including hunting, fishing, cooking, reading and traveling with his wife and family. After moving to Spring Lake, Mr. Clark made many friends while taking his daily walks through his Ferrysburg/Spring Lake subdivision. He was a member of the American Legion Charles Conklin Post #28 and the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers China-Burma Association. Mr. Clark was an American Red Blood donor, an avid animal lover and environmentalist. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. SURVIVORS Daughters, Bonnie (Ronald) Twiddy of Sterling Heights., Laurie (Jim Koert) Clark of Spring Lake; grandchildren, Kirk (Christine) Twiddy, Patrick Twiddy, Justin "Jett" Clark, Taylor "TC" Clark, Andrea Clark, Matthew (Circila) Clark, Neil Clark; great grandchildren, Garrett, Brianne, Christopher, Nicholas; daughter-in-law Marlene Clark of Sterling Heights. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris in 1995 and son, Neil in 2002. SERVICE A private Memorial Service will be held. He will be interred at Arlington Cemetery.
