Edward F. Butzer

Mr. Edward Fredrick Butzer, age 83, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016. He was born in Montague, Michigan on January 17, 1933 to Harry & Lillie (Tamsen) Butzer and married the former Shirley Strahl on November 1, 1952. Mr. Butzer had been employed by Misco/Howmet, Whitaker Electric and Johnson Electric. He would eventually buy Johnson Electric and start Mid-State Security and Advanced Underground companies. Edward was a member of White Lake Eagles and former member of the Muskegon J.C.'s. He spent time being involved in his son's snowmobile racing as a mechanic and enjoyed salmon fishing and power boating out of Lakeshore Yacht Harbor. He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife of 64 years, Shirley; daughter, Lisa (Richard) Wilde of NV; son, Jeff (Robin) Butzer of Rockford; grandchildren, Hayley, Hannah, Lauren, Erin & Andrew; sister, Darlene Smith.
