Edith Smith

Mrs. Edith S. Smith, age 101, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 12, 2015. She was born the ninth of ten children in Gladstone, Michigan on August 22, 1913 to Emil & Anna (Erickson) Smith. Edith was the oldest member of Broadway Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, great grandmother and friend to all. The family gratefully thanks the staff at Sanctuary at the Park for their compassionate care for Edith. SURVIVORS Son, Richard (Pearl) McKellar; daughter; Loretta (Frank) Carroll; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; 1 great great great grandchild; many nieces & nephews; special friend and roommate, Ann Greenlund. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest McKellar, Otis Smith and Ernest Smith; a daughter, Donna Jean Smith and 9 siblings. SERVICE Monday, February 16, 2015, 11:30 am at Broadway Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Letson officiating. Interment in Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon and Monday, one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIAL: Broadway Baptist Church.
