Edith Trena Potter

Potter, Mrs. Edith Trena Muskegon, Michigan Mrs. Edith Trena Potter, age 99, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022. She was born in Muskegon, MI on June 6, 1923 to Gerritt & Jennie (Meyers) Timmer and married Joseph Potter, Jr. on July 5, 1951. Mrs. Potter had been employed as a Sales Clerk for Krautheim Jewelers for 20 years until retiring. Edith was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she played the organ and was currently and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She also belonged to the Catholic Daughters, Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary and the TOPS Club. Edith was an Avon Representative for many years and always took great pride in her appearance and the clothes she wore. She had a great sense of humor and a positive attitude on life. Edith enjoyed her trips to California to visit relatives and spending time with her grandchildren. She liked knitting, sewing and playing cards with friends and family. Edith will be greatly missed by all who knew her. SURVIVORS 3 sons, Douglas (Lori) Potter, Michael (Gloria) Potter, Joseph (Angie) Potter III; Daughter Pamela Vandyke; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; Brother-in-law, Bill Toman; several nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 2001 and her sisters Anne, Jean and Geraldine. SERVICE Monday, December 12, 2022, 2:00 PM at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Deacon Jim Schiltz officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
