Edith "Cindy" Behm

Mrs. Edith L. "Cindy" Behm, age 77, passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Cindy and Melvin moved to West Olive from Cascade MI., in 1968 to renovate and reopen Behm's Grocery which had been originally built and owned by Melvin's dad, Herman in 1946. Together they operated the store for over 20 years and appreciated the many friends and support they received from the community. Cindy was a member of the United Lutheran Church and was truly an inspiration. SURVIVORS Husband of 58 years, Melvin; children, Melvin Behm II of West Olive, Frances Behm, Diane (Bruce) Guzin, both of Grand Haven; grandchildren, Matthew Ray, Brian (Cortnay) Ray, & Bethany Guzin; great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Matt Jr., Autumn, Haylee, Cameron & Kendall. SERVICE Monday, February 14, 2011, 12:00 PM at the Clock Chapel-Grand Haven with Pastor Earl Merz officiating. Interment at Historic Cemetery. A lunch will follow at United Lutheran Church.
