Eddie Joe Hamilton

Eddie Joe Hamilton, 60, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away on May 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 27, 1965, in Batesville, Mississippi, Eddie graduated from Benton Harbor High School, where he ran on the track team. He later devoted nearly three decades to CWC Textron, beginning as an iron pourer and advancing within the foundry. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet resilience, and deep dedication to those he loved.

Eddie never smoked or drank and had a creative spirit. He enjoyed drawing-among his favorite pieces was a portrait of Curtis Mayfield-along with singing and breakdancing, a nod to the music and culture of his youth. Though he faced significant health challenges, including an amputation and chronic illness, his love for his family and his pride in his name never wavered.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Aquantis Mason; DeMario Hamilton and his wife, Antoinette; Kanessha Watson-Beasley and her husband, Mario; and Jawan Hamilton and his wife, Ericka. He is also survived by his mother, Velma Willis; the mother of his children, Margaret Hamilton; his siblings, including Betty Smith, Shirley (Freddie) Mason, Pamela Hapson, Dimple Hapson, Jimmie (Stefanie) Hapson, Byron Frakes, eighteen cherished grandchildren, Demarea Rolling-Hamilton, Janiya Rolling; Marie Mason; Khylan Townsend, Jmarion Hunter, Alexys Hamilton; Lamirah Hamilton; Demario Hamilton Jr., Aquantis Hamilton; Mario Watson-Beasley Jr., Janiyla Hamilton; Eniya Hamilton; Jayla Hamilton, Jawan Hamilton Jr., Jalon Hamilton; Javon Hamilton; Jaron Hamilton; Brynlee Waddle and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Willis. Eddie's family will remember him for his dedication, his creative talents, and the bonds he nurtured across generations.

Funeral Services for Eddie will take place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service at Clock Funeral Home, 1469 Peck Street, Muskegon, MI 49441.
