Eagle, Betty L.

Mrs. Betty L. Eagle, age 80, passed away at a local hospital December 3, 2006, following a long illness. The youngest of 8 children, she was born July 10, 1926 in Nunica to George and Jennie (Sikkenga) Langlois. She married Noble Eagle in Dennison, MI in 1946 and he preceded her in death on November 5, 1988. Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and formerly attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She is survived by 1 son, David (Lori) Eagle of Muskegon; 6 daughters, Colleen Goodman of Muskegon, Bonnie (John) Line of Fruitport, Maria (Donald) Baker of North Muskegon, Cynthia (Timothy) Mansfield of Muskegon, Karen Ball of Twin Lake and Judy (Brad) Wilson of Whitehall; 1 sister, Marjorie (Lyle) Holtrop of Ravenna; 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Christopher Smith in 1987; and a grandson, Eric Smith in 1996. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held Thursday 11 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Norman Droski presiding. INTERMENT: St. Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION: Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Lee Funeral Home where a Scripture Service will begin at 7:30 P.M.
