Duke E. Yonkers

YONKERS, MR. DUKE E. Norton Shores, MI Mr. Duke E. Yonkers, age 89, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 27, 2003. He was born in Muskegon, MI on January 19, 1914 to Maurice & Kate Snevliet Yonkers & married the former J. Gertrude Dolislager in Muskegon on June 17, 1939. Mr. Yonkers had been employed as a Machinist at Textron for 30 years until retiring in 1976. He was a member of Berean Church & its Super Seniors. SURVIVORS Wife, Gertrude; 1 son, Dale A. Yonkers of Lakeland, FL; his daughter, Carol J. VanderStelt of Norton Shores, MI; 3 grandchildren, Thomas G. VanderMolen of TX, Kirk A. VanderMolen & his wife, Melissa of Muskegon, MI & Greg S. VanderStelt of Twin Lake, MI; 3 great-grandchildren, Lindsey VanderMolen, Kyle Maginity & Kristen VanderMolen; 1 brother, Anthony Yonkers of Muskegon, MI; brothers-in-law, John Dolislager, Gerrit Mina Dolisalger & Donald Brown, all of Muskegon, MI; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth May & Adrianna Door, both of Muskegon, MI as well as many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers & 4 sisters & a sister-in-law, Lena Brown. SERVICE Monday, June 30, 2003, 11:00 AM at Berean Church with Pastor Dwight Reed officiating.
