Duane Miles

MILES, MR. DUANE L. Grand Haven Mr. Duane L. Miles, age 71, of Grand Haven, died Friday, May 13, 2006 at North Ottawa Care Center. He was born in Ionia, MI on February 12, 1935 to Frederick and Mariane (Robinson) Miles and married the former Gwendolyn Hamm on May 2, 1957. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Miles had been employed at both Daugherty's and Grand Haven Furniture Stores until retiring in 1994. He was a long time member of Trinity Reformed Church and he enjoyed tennis, raquetball, fishing, camping and canoeing, but foremost was his family. SURVIVORS Wife of 49 years, Gwen, 3 sons, Paul (Vickie) Miles of West Olive, MI, Bryan (Robyn) Miles of Colorado and David (Cathey) Miles of West Olive, MI; daughter, Pamela (Rick) Rotman of Allendale, MI; 12 grand children; 2 great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Florence Hamm of Grand Haven, MI; 3 brothers, Fred, Wendell and Steven Miles; several nieces and nephews. SERVICE A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2006, 11:00 AM at Trinity Reformed Church with Rev. John Koedyker officiating. MEMORIAL: Trinity Reformed Church.
