HERALD, DR. OSBIE J. Muskegon Dr. Osbie J. Herald, MD, age 81, died on Friday, September 21, 2001 at home. He was born in Paris, TX on January 27, 1920 to Osbie E. & Wilma Bradbury Herald & married the former Anita LaMie in Columbus, OH on August 11, 1959. Dr. Osbie was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army during WWII both in the European & Pacific Theaters. He was a graduate of Wilbur Force University & received his Master's Degree from the University of Denver & his M.D. from Ohio State University. Dr. Herald was a General Practitioner & was the founder & former Director of Hackley Hospital Emergency Services. He was a member of First Congregational Church. SURVIVORS Wife, Anita; 2 sons, Mark Cecile Herald of Grand Rapids & Eric Pam Herald of Phoenix, AZ; 1 daughter, Anita Herald of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, Meagan Bartlet; Rachel, Alexander, Aaron, Jared & Jordon Herald; Amber & Alexander Herald; Nicole Schroeder; 1 great-granddaughter, Anabelle; 2 sisters, Peggy Emory of Dallas, TX & Dr. Mary Elizabeth Henry Brown of CA; 1 brother, Rudolph Herald of Cleveland, OH. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Herald in 1984. MEMORIAL SERVICE Tuesday, September 25, 2001, 4:00 PM at First Congregational Church with Rev. Betsy P. Skinner officiating.
