Douglas Paul Tierman, 81, of Fruitport, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Douglas was born September 18, 1943, the son of Paul and Carolyn Tierman. He married the former Sharon Robinson on January 15, 1972 and together they enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Doug was an engineer/draftsman by trade and at heart. He worked for Brunswick, General Motors, and later Delphi until his retirement in 2007. Doug enjoyed building and designing projects and tinkering in his pole barn. He also enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. Starting in grade school, he found a love of music by playing the violin. Later in life he found community by becoming a member at Fruitport Community Church, singing in the choir and joining the ukelele club. His favorite music was traditional hymns. Doug was a meticulous, detail-orientated, smart, prideful, strong-willed man. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
