Mr. Douglas G. McComb, age 89, died Thursday, September 8, 2011. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 30, 1922 to Fredrick & Nellie (Brown) McComb and married the former Fermine Richards on June 16, 1951. Mr. McComb had served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He had been employed as a Coal Handler at Consumers Power for over 30 years until retiring in 1986. He was a member of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ and was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Masonic Lodge. SURVIVORS Wife of 60 years, Fermine "Faye" McComb of Muskegon; son, William McComb of FL; daughters, Elizabeth "Ann" (John) Brown of PA; Mary (Rick) Fisher of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Tallman, Robb Brown, Beth Brown, Megan Fisher; 5 great grandchildren, Katie, Christopher, Nicholas, Josie, Audrey; sister, Arleen McComb of Muskegon. SERVICE Monday, September 12, 2011, 11:00 AM at First Congregational Church UCC with Rev. Tim Vanderhaar officiating. Interment at Norton Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 3-5 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon with a Masonic Service at 4:30 and Monday, one hour prior to the service at First Congregational Church UCC.
