Douglas Scott Gleason, age 63, transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal one on February 24, 2026.

Doug was born in Erie, PA, on January 13, 1963. His passions included NASCAR racing (specifically Jeff Gordon), WWF wrestling, and AC/DC.

Doug lived in Atlanta for many years and became friends with Dan and Larry Sieradzki in 1984. He worked with them for 10 years doing landscaping before he moved to Muskegon in 1994 and made many lifelong friends. He worked for Papa Johns pizza prior to his final employment with Muskegon Carriage Company. At MCC, he was a driver extraordinaire, handling most of the transports of the Belgium and Percheron horses used for daily tourist tours, and played a pivotal role in managing parking lots downtown during many festivals.

He is survived by his sister Yvonne Gleason Price, her partner Alex Moore, his nephew Nicholas Jacob Price, and many lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Sanders, and father, Kermit Lyle Gleason.

A memorial service will be held at Abundant Life Tabernacle, 3445 S. Dangl Rd, Muskegon, Ml 49444 on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. Services will be presided over by Rev. Marvin LaNore. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the church.
