Douglas J. "Jim" Brueck

Mr. Douglas J. "Jim" Brueck, age 79, died Friday morning, September 19, 2008, in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon, April 5, 1929, to Roy & Alice (Farwig) Brueck and had been a life resident of the area. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII; and had been employed at Kaydon Corporation for 35 years, retiring as a Maintenance Superintendent, in 1991. On December 22, 1950 he married the former Jane Anne Morley and she preceded him in death on May 4, 1994. Jim was well known for his woodworking and furniture making skills, his kindness and generosity; and for being a dedicated father and family man. Survivors include 4 children, Susan (Stephen) Barnes of Paw Paw, MI, Margo (Rick) Dill of Grand Haven, Kevin (Jill) Brueck of Muskegon and Amy (Gregory) Huntoon of North Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, Melissa Brueck, Michael Brueck, Alex Huntoon, Kelsey Huntoon, Joshua Huntoon, David Barnes, Maria (Allen) Giese, Andrew Barnes, Christopher (Keri) Dill; 2 great-grandchildren, 1 sister-in-law, Sue Brueck of North Muskegon, several nieces and nephews and by a special friend Shannon Graham of North Muskegon. There will be no services or visitation. For a more lasting memorial you are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association.
