Dorothy I. Mcintire

Mrs. Dorothy I. (Heath) McIntire, age 102, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was born November 8, 1905 in Traverse City, MI to Lee and Esther (Murray) Heath and lived in the Muskegon area since the 1920's. She married Cecil H. McIntire in June of 1960 and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1982. Dorothy enjoyed playing the card game "Skip-bo" and tending to her flowers. She especially loved children. SURVIVORS include 1 step-daughter-in-law, Virginia Carrillo and 1 step-granddaughter, Cynthia Carrillo both of Benincia, CA; 1 sister, Marie Walker of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews including Darlene Evans, devoted niece and guardian. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 step-daughter-in-law, Phyllis Borgeson, 2 brothers, Everett Webb and Milton Heath, and 3 sisters, Mabel VanderJagt, Bessie Terpening, and twin-sister, Doris Linton. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 25, 2008, at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Avenue (231) 726-5210 with Pastor Richard K. Bennett officiating. A Funeral Luncheon to celebrate Dorothy's life will take place immediately following the service at Uncle Mark's Family Restaurant, 1910 E. Apple Ave., Suite A. INTERMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Dorothy's family will take place one hour prior to the funeral, 10-11 AM Monday.
