Dorothy J. Kotecki

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Kotecki, age 84, died Friday, October 26, 2007. She was born on May 27, 1923 in Ferry, MI to Edgar and Amy (Lankfer) Schneider and married Edmund Kotecki on April 19, 1952. He died on December 30, 1991. Dorothy was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, and retired from Fruitport Public Schools as a bus driver. Survivors include her sons, Edmund (Carolyn) Kotecki of Muskegon, Richard (Ronda) Kotecki of Spring Lake, and John Kotecki of Fruitport; 6 granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mable "Brownie" (Hank) Baker of Rockford; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Visitation hours will be tonight from 6-8 pm at the Pachesny-Jend Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Visitation at the church Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
