KARNITZ, MRS. DOROTHY M. Muskegon, MI Mrs. Dorothy M. Karnitz, age 98, died Saturday, May 11, 2002. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 3, 1904 to Hans & Ann M. Hagen Simensen & married Harvey Karnitz in Gladstone, MI on July 31, 1932. Mrs. Karnitz had owned & operated, along with her husband, The Thrift Mart Store. She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the Mission Society, Altar Guild, Dorcas Society & was the oldest active member of the church. SURVIVORS 3 sons, Milton Karnitz of Muskegon, MI, Melvin Ann Karnitz of New York & Harold Jackie Karnitz of Gladstone, MI; 1 daughter, Beryl Mauritz of WI; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; 2 sons, Marvin & Edward Larsen; 2 daughters, Alice & Shirley & by 2 grandchildren. SERVICE Wednesday, May 15, 2002, 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Lassanske & Rev. Herbert Graupner officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery.
