HATFIELD, MRS. DOROTHY J. Grand Haven, MI Mrs. Dorothy J. Hatfield, age 71, died Thursday, November 22, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. She was born in Grand Haven, MI on February 24, 1930 to George J. & Harriett Dillenback Schippers & married Herbert G. Hatfield on March 20, 1948. Mrs. Hatfield had owned & operated Pawpaw's Restaurant on Robbins Road in Grand Haven for 12 years until retiring. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church. SURVIVORS Husband, Herbert; 2 sons, Richard Patricia Hatfield of Carrboro, NC & Lenard Connie Hatfield of Sugarland, TX; 1 daughter, Katherine Douglas ''Chip'' Emery of Jenison, MI, 5 grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Shawn, Christopher & Rebecca; 1 great grandson, Arron; 3 sisters, Alice Fitkin of VA, Frances Hushyn & Ethel Glenn Engel, both of Grand Haven, MI; 1 brother, George Bonnie Schippers of Grand Haven, MI; 3 half brothers, Jim, Ron & Don Schippers, all of Nunica, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Brenda Joyce & by a sister, Marjorie Molenkamp. SERVICE Sunday, November 25, 2001, 3:00 PM at Lakeshore Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Muri officiating. Interment at Grand Haven Township Cemetery. VISITATION Saturday, 6-8 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
