Mrs. Dorothy Mae Hansen, age 87, died Sunday, January 16, 2011. She was born near Stanton, MI on February 14, 1923 to Guy & Elsie (Thurber) Hancock and graduated from Stanton High School and Howell's School of Business. She married Ferdinand "Bob" Hansen in 1945. He passed away April 2010 after 65 years of marriage. Mrs. Hansen had been employed at Muskegon Draft Board, Army Air Forces at Continental Aviation & Engineering, and retired from Teledyne Continental Motors in 1983. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and Naomi Circle. She was a past member of the Muskegon Chapter of D.A.R., Colonial Dames of the 17th Century and several bridge clubs. SURVIVORS Daughter, Susan (Larry) Lokers of Zeeland; sons, Gary (Carol) Hansen of NC, Robert (Jill) Hansen of North Muskegon; grandchildren, Eric (Rebecca) Lokers, Julie (R.J.) Holstine, Kathleen & Kelly Hansen, Taylor, Kelsey & Sydney Hansen; great grandchildren, Naomi, Levi, Hunter, Audrey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon (Vivian) Hansen of Stanton, Lawrence (Marge) Hansen of Stanton, Leroy (Betty) Hansen of Mt. Pleasant, Larry (Alida) Hansen of LA, Neighlo Sebring of Breckenridge, Howard Tiffany of Gowan MI, Betty Garrow of Pentwater, Janice (Raymond) Wilson of Vestaburg, MI, Priscilla Hansen of Greenville, Ellen Hansen of Grand Blanc. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Bob. SERVICE Thursday, January 20, 2011, 12:00 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at First Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, Stanton MI. MEMORIAL: First Evangelical Lutheran Church or Hospice House of Holland.
