Doris Adeline Jacobson

Jacobson, Doris Adeline Muskegon, Michigan Doris Adeline Jacobson, age 97, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022. She was born in Devils Lake, ND on August 13, 1925 to Rev. Rasmus & Ragna (Abrahamson) Berntsen and married Norman Jacobson on February 21, 1947 in Muskegon, MI. Mrs. Jacobson had been the office manager and volunteer coordinator of United Way of Muskegon County for over 30 years. Doris was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church and also belonged to the Zonta Club and the American Society of Women Accountants. She loved playing golf, especially with her sister-in-law Marva, camping at Ludington State Park and sitting by the campfire. Doris also enjoyed many shopping trips with her sister Marcie, searching for Occupied Japan collectables. Doris liked to buy and sell antiques and for many years kept a booth at the Antique Mall in North Muskegon. The family would like to thank the kind and loving staff at Christian Care Nursing Center for their care and comfort during Doris's final year. SURVIVORS Son, Mark (Vickie Moore) Jacobson; Daughter, Kathy (Mary Ruth Morningstar) Jacobson; Sister, Margaret Rood; Brother, Arnold (June) Bernsten; Sister-in-Law, Marva Jacobson; Special Friends, Dave & Helen Semelbauer, Ted Dorsey, PAC; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 2016, brother Robert (Doreen) Bernsten; brothers-in-law, Wallace Jacobson, Gerald (Carole) Jacobson and Carlton (Margaret) Rood.
