Doris J. Christianson

Doris J. Christianson, age 93, was born on December 31, 1914 in Hesperia, to the late Henry Louis and Myrtle (Stout) Scheliewe. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 1979, and her four children, Ronald Hodges, Patricia Hodges-Lindblom, Darrell Hodges, and Albert Hodges, along with a great-great-grandson, and her very dear friend, Bud Hjort, along with two sisters, Thelma Sattory, and Margaret Skodack. Doris is survived by a special step-daughter, Dianne Christianson, and two daughters in law, Myrna and Jackie Hodges; eight grandchildren, Pat (Jack) Caverly, Dianna (Mike) Workman, Suzi (Jack) Sidock, Bruce (Vicenta) Lindblom, Bryan Lindblom, Robb Raisig, Ron (Cindy) Hodges, and Ben Hodges; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gerry Veltman and Barbara (Brub) Rafferty. Doris worked for Baxter's Dry Cleaners, and was a longtime member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1655 W. Norton, where services will be held on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Sarah J. Samuelson officiating. Visitation will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel today from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be next to her husband Louis at Sunrise Memorial Garden.
