Donna M. (Rhodes) Wilson WILSON, MRS. DONNA M. (RHODES) Muskegon Mrs. Donna M. (Rhodes) Wilson, age 82, died Monday, January 9, 2006 at a local nursing home after a long illness. She was born Sept. 7, 1923 in Muskegon and graduated from Muskegon Heights H.S. On December 24, 1942, she married James W. Wilson in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1997. Donna worked in the hot lunch program with the Mona Shores school district for 25 years. She also worked at Muskegon Travel as a travel guide. Donna was an active member of Church of God United (formerly Woodmere Church of God) as an organist, pianist and Sunday School teacher. She was also active in many board and committee positions. She loved her travels all over the world, was an avid china painter and loved to crochet. Her special joy was being with her children, son, Tom Wilson and daughter, LuAnne (Steven) Hemphill both of Norton Shores; four grandchildren, Erin (Amy) Wilson of Grand Rapids, Adam (Deanne) Wilson of Zeeland, Lynell (Eric) Hemphill-Garetner of Norton Shores and Neil (Jennifer) Hemphill of Norton Shores; four great-grandchildren, Riley and Siona Wilson, Tyler Wilson and Jessica Hemphill; nephews, Ray (Evelyn) Rhodes of Louisville, KY and Don (Nancy) Rhodes of Muskegon; and niece, Glenda (Don) Barrows of Romulus, Michigan. Donna was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Earl, Donald and Raymond Rhodes; and nephew, Eric Rhodes. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Friday 11 A.M. at Church of God United, 1630 Southland, with Pastor Lynnette C. Gillett presiding. INTERMENT: Mona View Cemetery.
