Donna Jean Powell Habetler

Mrs. Donna Jean (Morton) Powell Habetler, age 81, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007 at McAuley Place. She was born February 16, 1926, in Muskegon to Edward and Eva (Cooper) Powell and lived in the Muskegon area her entire life. Prior to retirement in 1987, Donna worked over 30 years for Sealed Power-HyLift Division. On March 2, 1946, she married Stephen C. Habetler in Muskegon Heights and he preceded her in death in 1988. Donna was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include 3 sons, Stephen (Katherine) Habetler, Michael (Penny) Habetler, and David (Kate) Habetler all of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Geri Spoonaas and Valora Surfus; sister-in-law, Helen (Mike) Mulready; brother-in-law, Ronald Wolff; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, William and Morrie Morton; and 1 sister, Beatrice Charron; sister-in-law, Lorraine Wolff; brother- and sister-in-law, Robert and Irene Habetler. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, October 8, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Brown presiding. INTERMENT will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery.
