Donna L Durga

Mrs. Donna Lee Durga, age 83, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. She was born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania on October 6, 1934 the daughter of John & Ethel (Axon) States and married LaVerne Durga on November 12, 1955. Mrs. Durga had been employed in the lunch program for Fruitport Public Schools for many years and then as a Senior Citizen Meal Coordinator for 25 years until retiring. Donna was a member of Fellowship Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and Elder and belonged to the Ladies Aide Bible Study. She enjoyed volunteering at the Muskegon Rescue Mission, walking and spending as much time with her grandchildren as she possibly could. SURVIVORS Sons, Vernon Durga of FL, Brian (Annie) Durga of Fruitport, Kevin Durga of Muskegon; daughters, Cheryl (Jack) Berry of Norton Shores, Karen (Kevin) Carmean of Muskegon; grandchildren, Joshua Durga, Jessica Durga, Amanda (Greg) Balcom, Michael Durga, Brock Carmean, Kyler (Brittany) Carmean; 2 1/2 great grandchildren; fur baby, Kolbe; sister, Vera Smith; sister-in-law, MaryAnn Verway-Durga; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LaVerne; infant daughter, Brenda Durga; brother, Lou Sprankel & sister, Betty Green. SERVICE Friday, April 6, 2018, 11:00 am at Fellowship Church with Rev. Michael VanKampen officiating. VISITATION Thursday, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Clock Funeral Home-Muskegon and Friday, one hour prior to the service at Fellowship Church. MEMORIAL: Fellowship Church or Muskegon Rescue Mission.
