It is with both sadness and joy that we announce the passing of Donna Marie Bussing, who peacefully left this world on January 5, 2026, just days shy of her 94th birthday. She was born on January 7, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, MI, to Ransom & Elsie (Bolinger) Campbell. Donna led a life filled with love, faith, and joyful moments.
Donna was a dedicated housewife and mother, nurturing her family with an open heart and unwavering spirit. She married her beloved husband, Bruce Bussing, on September 2, 1950, sharing a beautiful partnership until his passing in 2011. Her strong faith was evident in her active involvement at Black Creek Bible Church, where she served as a Deaconess, Sunday School teacher, and a Vacation Bible School instructor. It was her desire that everyone, especialy her family, know her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Throughout her life, Donna embraced the beauty of the outdoors, finding joy in camping and spending time in the sun, especially in the Great Smoky Mountains. She also loved music, often filling her home with the sounds of Gospel and Country tunes. An avid bowler, for many years and a fan of family outings at local restaurants, Donna cherished the simple pleasures in life and family.
Donna is celebrated and remembered by her loving daughters: Dawn (Sam) Beckley, Denise Bussing, Debra (Mark) Sawinski, Penny (Ken) Schultz, and Jennifer Miller. She was a proud grandmother to Carmen (James) Surber, Adam (Holly) Beckley, Keri (Brian) Meister, Kenny (Kristi) Schultz, Kevin (Samantha) Schultz, Kody (Brooke) Schultz, Kelsie (Harold) Thommen, Christopher (Chelsea) Sawinski, Bruce (Martha) Sawinski, Laura (Kylan) Lamer, Dylan (Amanda) Miller and great-grandmother to James, Sam, Brady, Hunter, Mackenzie, Aubree, Elin, Cole, Hillary, Ayslin, Beau, Kaydin, Kinzee, Kinleigh, Breckon, Noa, Rowan, Tristian, Del, Zander. She is now reuniting with those who preceded her in death, including her husband Bruce, sisters Patricia DeRuiter and Jeanine Johnson, brothers David Campbell and James Campbell, and son-in-law Tom Miller.
