Donald West

Donald Edwin West, age 68, passed away on January 25, 2026. Born in Grand Haven, MI on November 17, 1957, Don was the son of Demetrius and Patricia (Roossien) West and graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1975. He married his beloved wife, Darlene Hibbs, on January 27, 1984. A hardworking man, Don spent many years in Assembly and Shipping & Receiving roles at companies like Hayworth, Bastion Blessing, Shape, and Howmet.

Don had a passion for adventure, enjoying mountain biking and exploring local restaurants. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his three daughters, Samantha (Keenan) Brown, Michelle Crooks, and Cassandra West; his son, Kenneth (Lori) Humy; and his five cherished grandchildren, Jackie Crooks, Luke Crooks, Kendra (Sam) Six, Makenzie (Tyler Jobes) Humy, and Kiara Brown. Don is also survived by two brothers, David (Kim) West and Patrick West; five sisters, Michelle (Doug) Peerbolt, Susan (Nick) Dault, Lora West, Amy (Pat) Goetz, and Jody West; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene West, who passed away in December 2025.
