Donald Ulrich

Mr. Donald Elvin Ulrich, age 74, died peacefully Thursday, June 7, 2007 with his family at home. He was born on July 22, 1932 in Fort Wayne, IN, to Oliver and Beatrice (Gouty) Ulrich. Don was a Korean War veteran, having served his country in the US Air Force. He married Janet Anderson on August 9, 1957. Don retired from Service America as a District General Manager after more than 25 years employment. He was a member of the Unity Church of Muskegon. Don loved to go sailing and joined in 1956 the Muskegon Yacht Club and served a term as the Commodore. Survivors are his wife, Janet; 2 daughters, Karen (Steven) Garvey of Ypsilanti, MI and Julie (Robert) Lee of Muskegon; two granddaughters, Emily Garvey and Helen Lee; brother, Van (Joanne) Ulrich of Muskegon; and nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David and Frederick Ulrich; and nephew, Steven Ulrich. The Memorial Service will begin at 1pm Monday at the Unity Church of Muskegon, 2052 Bourdon St., with Rev. Julie Armour officiating. Visitation at the church is one hour prior to service. Full Military Rites is under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. Remembrances may be made to the Unity Church of Muskegon or Harbor Hospice.
