Donald L. "Don" Rabach

Mr. Donald L. "Don" Rabach, age 88, passed away Sunday evening, September 21, 2008 in Muskegon. He was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI on June 10, 1920 to Fred and Grace (Knudson) Rabach and had lived in Muskegon since 1955. Don had worked at General Telephone Company before joining the Local #169 Boiler Makers where he was employed for many years before retiring in 1984. He was a 40-year Mason at Lovell Moore Lodge #182. Don loved being outdoors working in his yard and in his gardens, but found the most happiness spending time with his loving family. On September 6, 1947, Don married the former Jane Bartley and she survives him along with 5 children, Barb (Floyd "T.J.") Holtz, Judy (Bruce) Pearce, Bill (Jean) Rabach, Cindy (Steve) Hickman and Tom (Kathy) Rabach; 10 grandchildren, Joe (Stephanie) Senn, Brent Foltynewicz, Mike Pearce, Jamie Fri, Kim (Nate) Danicek, Henry and Rob Felcoskie, Jennifer Hickman, and Kaitlyn and Colin Rabach; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Clarence Rabach of Charlevoix, MI and Ralph (Judy) Rabach of Sturgeon Bay, WI; 1 sister-in-law, Barbara Rabach and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Fred Rabach; 1 brother, Otis "Bud" Rabach and 1 sister, Doris Cordts. SERVICES will be 1:30 pm Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Rev. Kevin McCormick officiating. VISITATION will be one-hour prior to the service. INTERMENT will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS in Don's name may be made to Harbor Hospice - Poppen Residence.
