MADDEN, MR. DONALD ''CURLY'' Grand Haven, MI Mr. Donald ''Curly'' Madden, age 71, died Sunday, November 9, 2003. He was born in Detroit, MI on June 22, 1932 to Tracy T. & Mary Craft Madden, Sr. & married the former Louise Peterson in Washington, DC on June 27, 1953. Mr Madden had been employed as an Assembler at Shaw Walker Company until retiring in 1981. He was a member of Grace Bible Ministries. He was also a member of the Muskegon Host Lions Club, DAV Chapter 11, American Legion Post 9 & the National Order of Trench Rats. Don had volunteered at Oakridge High School sporting events, assisting with football & city, regional & state track meets. He also volunteered at the Eastview CAAP Center. Don also served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1957. Survivors: Wife, Louise; children, Kay Duane Stanton of Grand Rapids, MI & Karl Madden, Paul Jackie Madden, Paula John Stillson & Lori James Clark, all of Grand Haven, MI; 5 grandchildren, Ron Liz Stanton of Standale, MI, Riley & Melaney Clark, Myles & Breanna Madden, all of Grand Haven, MI; 1 sister, Grace Hepler of Fredricksburg, VA. Service: Wednesday, November 12, 2003, 7:30 pm at Grace Bible Ministries, 6031 Apple Ave., Muskegon, with Rev. Thomas Hoeker officiating. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Wednesday, 6:30-7:30 pm at the church. Memorial: Family, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Hackley Visiting Nurses or Oakridge High School Sports Boosters. Military Rites will be performed by the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. CLOCK-Grand Haven.
