Donald Kujawski

Mr. Donald David "Don" Kujawski, age 72, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007 at a local hospital. He was born August 4, 1934 to Leonard and Blanche (Pachesny) Kujawski and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. On March 2, 1957, he married the former Alice M. Kotecki in Muskegon and she survives him. Don was employed 47 years as an insurance agent for State Farm Insurance prior to his retirement in 2004 and had owned his agency on Glade Street. Early in his life, he worked a few years for Teledyne Continental Motors. He was an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church where he served on the finance committee and was a member of the Serra Club. He was also a charter member of the Muskegon Elks Lodge. Don served as the Mayor of Roosevelt Park from 1979-1984 and had been the president of the Roosevelt Park Baseball League. He also served as a Cub Scout Master. Along with his wife, Alice, he is SURVIVED by 5 children, Jeffrey Kujawski of Houston, TX, James Kujawski of Conklin, Gary (Nancy) Kujawski of Kennesaw, GA, Rhonda (Rudy) Chmelar of Ann Arbor, and Kevin Kujawski of Seattle, WA; 3 grandchildren, Derek Donald Kujawski, Nolan Andrew Kujawski, and Meagan Marie Kujawski, all of Kennesaw, GA; 1 sister, Nancy Kujawski of Manistee; and his mother-in-law, Adeline Kotecki of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Jeannette Kujawski. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 2:00 PM Monday, June 18, 2007 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Phillip A. Sliwinski as celebrant. ENTOMBMENT will take place at St. Mary's Mausoleum. VISITATION with Don's family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W.
