Donald W. Henderson

Donald W. Henderson, age 61, of Muskegon, passed away at home on February 28, 2008. He was born January 17, 1947 in Fremont, MI to Bruce and Lorraine ((McIntyre) Henderson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shannon, in 2005; and his mother, Lorraine, in 1997. Don is survived by his two children, Melissa (Jeff) Stel, and James Henderson; grandchildren, Samantha Meisch, Matthew Stel, Britnai Stel, Kaleigh Stel, Corbin Everett and Ashley Everett; a great-grandson, Mason; his father, Bruce Henderson (Barbara Van Hemert); six siblings, Larry (Cheryl) Henderson, Susan (Al) Jennings, Steven (Cindy) Henderson, James (Jacqueline) Henderson, Lori Henderson, and Fred Henderson; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was a United States Air Force Sergeant serving during the Viet Nam War. Don worked for Supreme Machined Products, and was a member of the band "Replay". He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. His greatest pleasure was his grandchildren, and spending time with his brothers. Don was our rock and soul. Funeral services will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave. on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Ferris officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday (10 - 11). Interment will be next to his wife, Shannon, in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
