Mr. Donald M. "Don" Hall, age 60, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. He was born April 18, 1948 in Muskegon to Donald and Alberta (Tenhove) Hall and lived in the area his entire life. On November 5, 1966, he married the former Cheryl L. "Cheri" Maxey in Muskegon, and she survives him. He was retired as an inspector from C.W.C.-Textron after working over 20 years. Don enjoyed deer and rabbit hunting. He especially enjoyed spending every summer weekend camping with Cheri and the kids. Don never missed any of the kid's high school activities. He was known to be the kindest and most giving person - always doing for those who needed help. Don was a very talented woodworker and was proud of his workshop where he would spend a lot of time. He and Cheri would sell his woodwork at area art shows over the years. Don was also active in the De Colores Movement for many years. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed. SURVIVORS include his wife of 42 years, Cheri; his daughter and her family, Julie Ann & Raymond Shetterly and their daughters, Kyrie & Jaclyn; his son and his family, Christopher Scott & Kelly Hall, and their children, Tory, Luke, Joel, and Addyson; his daughter and her family, Shawn Marie & David Poll, and their daughters, Whitney and Kelcee; his sister, Janis Bosch; his brothers, Bob (Betty) Hall, Chuck Hall, and Craig Hall; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A MEMORIAL GATHERING with family and friends will be held 7:00 PM this evening in Lourdes Hall at St. Mary Catholic Church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the family.
