Donald Ferris

Mr. Donald A. Ferris, age 73, went Home to be with his Lord Thursday, March 8, 2007. He was born January 26, 1934 in Newaygo County to Newell and Irene (Rasmussen) Ferris. He married the former Judy A. Garvey in Angola, IN on July 12, 1952. Mr. Ferris was employed at Muskegon Piston Ring for 33 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a past member of the Fruitport Eagles and enjoyed repairing small engines. He had attended Trinity Lutheran Church. SURVIVORS: his wife, Judy; 3 daughters, Rita (Fred) Weichner, Peggy Ferris, and Nancy (Dean) Griffes, all of Muskegon; 5 brothers, Dick (Jackie), Ralph, John, Tom (Jean), and Roger Ferris; 1 sister, Margie (Ronnie) David; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Muscato, Casey Griffes, Dylan Ferris, and Sally (Mark) Parrish; and 2 great-granddaughters, Ashley Phelps and Makala Parrish. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joanne Gauthier. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m., at the Lee Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Ferris officiating. VISITATION: Sunday, 4-7 p.m. INTERMENT: Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL: American Cancer Society.
