Donald Thomas Davis

Davis, Mr Donald Thomas Twin Lake, Michigan Mr Donald Thomas Davis, age 71, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020. He was born in Petoskey, MI on January 23, 1949 to Leo & Joyce (Bailey) Davis and served his country in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He married the former Rita Eilers on May 1, 1971. Mr Davis had been employed as a Machinist at Muskegon Piston Ring and later worked as a Lab-Tech for Federal Mogul until retiring in 2000.Don was a member of the American legion and liked riding his motorcycle. He was a fan of the Detroit Lions & Tigers, enjoyed camping, boating, feeding the birds and wintering in Lakeland, FL. He especially liked playing bingo and cards with his granddaughter. He will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS wife, Rita; granddaughter, Makayla Smith; 2 brothers, Mike (Shirley) Bailey of FL, Mark(Mary) Davis of Muskegon; 3 sisters, Pam Doss of Muskegon, Cheryl (Jack) Cholcher of FL, Lisa (Don) Andre of Muskegon; Mother Joyce Davis of Muskegon; many brother & sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Chris in 2013, his father Leo and a niece Katie. SERVICE A Private family graveside service will take place at Fruitland Township Cemetery.
